We dive into the depths of Paris in the catacombs
Today, the catacombs stretch over more than 1,500 meters long, making it the largest underground ossuary in the world. The tunnels sometimes overlap on 3 levels, with the deepest ones buried more than 20 meters underground. And while, back in the day, human remains were placed a bit haphazardly, everything is now neatly organized since the site opened to the public in 1809. It’s surely one of the most unusual visits in the capital, even enhanced during the JEP 2025 with literary pathways. A stroll underground filled with texts and testimonies from great French authors, to explore this mystical place… from A to Z!

A special anatomy class at the Moulages Museum
Sensitive souls, please abstain: the mysterious Moulages Museum at Saint-Louis Hospital is opening exceptionally to the public during the Heritage Days. Nestled in one of the oldest hospitals in Paris (founded in 1607, how cool is that?!), the place has kept all its charm, and an atmosphere that feels like a 19th-century medical office and...a natural history museum. Here, nearly 5,000 ultra-realistic wax casts created between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century are on display, reproducing strikingly accurate dermatological lesions. A rare, astonishing visit for those with a strong stomach.
