We're going to see the Louise Weiss exhibition on the gates of the Madeleine Church
What is the role of women in European construction? Europa Expérience and Citoyennes pour l'Europe tell us more on the occasion of International Women's Rights Day. From March 8 to 31, come admire the outdoor exhibition Louise Weiss, journey of a committed European on the gates of the Madeleine Church. This is an opportunity for us to discover the life of one of the founding mothers of the European Union. A journalist, a Member of the European Parliament, an ardent advocate for women's rights, and a pioneer of the European idea, Louise Weiss was everything a modern and engaged woman should be.

We spend the month of March at the Pop Meufs festival at the Pavillon des Canaux
At the Pavillon des Canaux, International Women's Day extends throughout the entire month of March! Because, ultimately, it takes more than just one day to highlight feminist struggles. The Pop Meufs festival is an opportunity to revolt, deconstruct, co-construct, and question, in order to create new societal models. Exhibitions, DJ sets, talks, book clubs... And on March 8th, an exceptional meeting will take place with author Laurène Daycard, the Nous Toutes collective, and journalist Hanneli Victoire.

We're having a girls' party at Rosa Bonheur
For March 8th, Rosa Bonheur has prepared an amazing evening for us. There will be a live concert by Gonthier, a Marseille-based artist, followed by an energetic DJ set by Nannä Volta, an organizer of inclusive queer events with the Discoquette collective, and the Grand Podium de la Pride de Paris, as well as being the director of La Java. Together, we'll be able to dance and celebrate this day in style.

We're participating in a feminist talk at Cité Audacieuse
Our favorite spot in the 6th arrondissement, a safe place and feminist meeting place, is hosting an engaged talk for International Women's Day. The MaMaMa association will be there to talk about women's financial independence. They will also present their actions and support for those facing precarious situations and their children. An event to progress towards equality!

We listen to a musical reading at the Marguerite Yourcenar library
The Marguerite Yourcenar library invites actress Ariane Ascaride (La Villa, Marius et Jeannette, Gloria Mundi...) who lends her voice to the words of Colette, Chloé Delaume, Lydie Salvayre, the Princess Palatine, and Virginie Despentes. Accompanied by accordionist David Venitucci, she delivers writings that are funny, poignant, radical, scandalous, but above all, writings that are completely enamored with freedom.
