Cold Cases, the Families' Fight
As the global exhibition Serial Killer makes its stop in Paris since February 20, the police-justice service of Franceinfo has focused on unresolved crimes committed by individuals whose names will never appear on the walls of the Galerie Montparnasse, due to insufficient evidence. By tracing six unsolved French cases that led to the tragic murders of Céline Giboire, Sabine Dumont, Malink Boutvillain, Stéphane Kameugne, François Picard, Pol Creton, and Cécile Vallin, various journalists precisely recount the unfolding of the investigations, the different leads followed, and the endless wait for answers from the loved ones, all guided by hope. These chilling, intimate tales bring us closer to the families and their quest for truth.

20,000 Leagues Beneath My Skin
The #MeToo movement sparked a tsunami of testimonies from women who have experienced gender-based and sexual violence, but there’s still a story that's hard to tell: that of children. The statistics are shocking: in France, 160,000 children are sexually assaulted every year, often by a family member. 20,000 Leagues Beneath My Skin shares the story of one of them.
À partir de ses 12 ans et durant quelques années, Caroline Pothier shares her experiences of the rapes she endured through audio tapes meant for her best friend. Now a journalist, she investigates what an ideal support system for survivors of incest would look like. How can we listen to them better? What should we do with their revelations as loved ones? How could police and justice finally treat them better? How does one live with the incest that they have suffered? And what do we do with the perpetrators? These questions are explored further in the excellent novel Triste Tigre by Neige Sinno, winner of the 2023 Goncourt Prize for high school students.

Old Branch
The young and engaged voices, snubbed by TV studios, have found refuge in the podcast, a format that suits their era. The older generation, however, is still largely shut away in the old screen, which feels quite outdated. Journalist Marie Misset has decided to give them the microphone: with Old Branch, she has taken on the mission of meeting personalities over 70 years old to talk about politics, culture, art, and ideas. What do we have to learn from the g geração?What are the future expectations for someone born in the middle of the 20th century, who experienced the Cold War, the glorious thirty years, and about twenty presidents of the Republic? Are they afraid of dying? Was it really better in the past? Spoiler alert: no.

The Paths of AI
At the beginning of February, the Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence took place at the Grand Palais, where debates were held between European Union countries to try to master AI (without stifling it) by strengthening international action and cooperation. The groundbreaking arrival of ChatGPT on our servers has indeed transformed our professional practices and cognitive reflexes in just two years, all while our leaders have barely grasped or regulated this tool.
Due to a lack of legislation...On, The Pathways of AI aims to decode the impact of artificial intelligence in our daily lives. Each month, Pauline Pennanec’h, a journalist at Franceinfo, Célia Zolynski, and Camille Salinesi from the AI Observatory at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, along with a special guest, will explain how to protect your digital life and spot manipulations.

Emotions
Emotions is an institution, a powerful vessel in the vast ocean of podcasts, a testament to the universality of its theme: the stream of feelings that sometimes makes us feel adrift. Each episode tackles one of those questions we’ve all pondered: should we force ourselves to talk to strangers? What if someone loves you more than you think? Can you break away from your family? In times of doubt, we dive right in, and immediately feel a sense of calm wash over us. A helpful nudge provided by the fabulous Marie Misset (Nova, France Inter), who is so talented at unraveling our emotional states.
