Look for the Woman

As the singer, songwriter, and composer Flore Benguigui, a former member of the group L'Impératrice, kicked off Cherchez la Jam in April, a monthly series of improvised jazz concerts exclusively featuring women, it’s the perfect time to dive back into her podcast Cherchez la femme, created with her collective of the same name. Launched in early 2023, it shines a light on the forgotten music and voices of women in the music industry through impactful interviews. You’ll hear from sound engineers, directors, percussionists, songwriters, and many more talented individuals who have been overshadowed by their male counterparts, who are everywhere. Our favorite episode: her first one, Women and Film Music, which sheds light on the sexist dynamics within the film industry and .the invisibility of female film score composers. If you can name even one, you're already at the top of the basket!

Fip Tape

Your workdays are filled with coffee breaks, chit-chat with colleagues, and the soothing sounds of Fip playlists in the background ? Discover Fip Tape, a podcast format created by the talented team from the pioneer of musical radio. The concept? 2 to 3 hours of uninterrupted music, during which one of the program's curators designs a musical journey to get lost in, to remember, to marvel at. The themes are many, sometimes activist - International Women's Rights Day; Pride March... - and sometimes sunnier - a road trip to the Dour festival; sounds to enjoy on the beach - but they always pay tribute to a genre, an artist, a universe. Oh, sweet nostalgia.

Last Resort

"The CRA is a cage." "The CRA is worse than prison." "The CRA drives you crazy." Manon and Sonia, lawyers at a retention center (CRA, that is) in Mesnil-Amelot, don’t hold back with their words or their microphone. In fact, they’ve attached it to a box to shed light on the behind-the-scenes of this center, which locks up (and suppresses) people every day who are foreigners threatened with expulsion from French territory. It results in a powerful podcast that gives a voice to those held in this "cage", unveiling the absurdity of a system riddled with racism, police violence, psychological suffering, the harsh conditions of detention, and violations of the rule of law. Three poignant episodes.

Conpassion, season 2

Chiara Kahn, journalist and member of the collective Les Dévalideuses, is a guest here and there in the media to discuss the delicate issue of disability and French ableism. This fight is addressed in Conpassion, a podcast where she gives a voice to disabled or sick individuals and deconstructs the myriad stereotypes attached to their stories. Can they make love? Are they...

- Are they going to die soon? Are they privileged? Anorexic? Fragile of heart and bones? While in its first season, Chiara interviewed anonymous people about quotes received on the fly, the second season, launched in April, focuses on well-known personalities in the public eye. Among her guests are the basketball player Grace Wembolua, the activist Tom Tallieu, and the comedian Elsa Bouyeron.

Ukraine Diaries

There are those who fled Kiev right at the beginning of the conflict to escape the bombs, and those who settled there to document it. Since February 24, 2022, Marine Mercier, a journalist from RTS, has been traveling across the country to collect the intimate testimonies of Ukrainians who are victims of the Russian invasion. She then captures these testimonies in her Ukraine Diaries, which offer a unique, in-depth perspective at a human level, on a country that resists, weeps, and sometimes even laughs -
