Somewhere in the Night, the People Dance at the Palais de Tokyo
It's a magnificent journey between history and fiction that Raphaël Barontini offers us at the Palais de Tokyo. By blending contemporary techniques with archives from the past, he creates vibrant and moving narratives, filled with colors and textures. Unique and intriguing works invite us to revisit history, especially African and Caribbean, while questioning classical representation and painting. A moment of rare poetry, heightened by the sonic work of poet and music producer Mike Ladd.

Hygiene in the Middle Ages
Age at the Jean-sans-Peur Tower
We often picture a Middle Ages that’s grimy and dirty, where waste fills the streets and showers are still highly optional. Not at all! It’s those preconceptions too deeply ingrained in our collective imagination that the Jean-sans-Peur Tower, the last untouched remnant of the Dukes of Burgundy Palace, is eager to dismantle in an exhibition immersing us in the intimacy of Parisians from the past. It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore a period that’s as fascinating as it is overlooked, much more refined than one might think.
