When Noé opened the doors of GEMÜSE six years ago – back then, the strong forerunner of Berlin-style kebab in France – his intention was clear: to create the ultimate sandwich. And it seems he has accomplished the mission. Day or night, crowds flock in front of the counter of the famous establishment in the 18th district. The enormous rotating skewer of marinated chicken, perfectly grilled, spins proudly, and our taste buds are on high alert.

The neighborhood kebab that Parisians can’t get enough of

An amazing recipe, all homemade, a great group of friends, creativity, and above all, a lot of love for kebab… GEMÜSE is paving the way for a new type of kebab: the passionate kebab. For six years, the team has been perfecting their craft (kept secret) of the 100% homemade skewer. The pieces are tender, grilled yet juicy, with a unique flavor. “We wanted to create a sandwich where every bite is different,” details Noé, the founder. The result? A now-iconic recipe: a sesame pide bread.Me – delivered fresh every morning – filled with crunchy veggies, grilled vegetables, homemade marinated chicken skewer for 24 hours, one of our incredible homemade sauces, herbs, fresh cheese, and lemon juice. « The goal was never to create an exact copy of an existing kebab: we wanted to create a kebab that you won’t find anywhere else, crafted from A to Z by us », sums up Noé. An intention that confirms itself with every bite!

A Sandwich for Everyone

Another goal of the founder is: “Create a universal kebab that can be enjoyed by all.” The offerings are inclusive: the kebab – priced at €8.50 each – comes in a vegetarian recipe featuring delightful grilled halloumi slices, in a bowl (served with bulgur), in a flatbread… you name it! There’s a wonderful array of options to make sure everyone can enjoy it their way. To accompany your meal, the menu also includes spiced fries, with parsley and pickled vegetables, perfect for dipping into the amazing homemade sauces, like the secret Algerian sauce, the delicious garlic sauce, or the super spicy green harissa.

When spring arrives, customers eagerly devour their kebabs on the biergarten-style terrace, washing it all down with Club Mate, Fritz.

Kola or some tasty local beers. And we promise you, when the sun is shining, it's a real treat!
