Alert: one of our favorite pasta restaurants is opening a new location! With his very first restaurant, Arthur Dumait has managed to revolutionize everything we knew about pasta fresca thanks to sourced products and recipes imported straight from the land of pasta! Just a year and a half into this delicious journey, the friendly canteen, like Sugo, is expanding and heading to the 10th arrondissement with the same concept: to offer mouthwatering al dente pasta to satisfy our cravings, all in a cozy hangout with friends.

From Italy to All Sauces

Sugo – "sauce" in Italian – truly lives up to its name: here, you can taste all sorts, paired with all shapes of pasta. Their new restaurant will also operate on a “weekly” system, which we found particularly cool during our first visit: from Monday to Sunday, one type of pasta is featured daily. It might be the very sunny Puttanesca with tomatoes from Sardinia, olives from Liguria, capers from Sicily, and anchovies on Monday, the traditional Carbonara with pecorino, guanciale, and egg on Tuesday, or the famous Lasagnas that our columnist Zoé Stene awarded 4/5 stars for their delicious 30-day aged beef ragù, only available on Thursdays.

Cacio e Pepe, Ragù : recipes to die for

At Sugo, there's no way we're altering our fresh pasta made from organic Italian durum wheat semolina, the true stars of the plate, with French-inspired recipes. Here, the chefs prepare their “favorite Italian recipes.” Simple and concise, the dinner menu won us over with five standout dishes, including the classic Sugo (Sardinian tomatoes, as always, slow-cooked for 4 hours with garlic, salt, and pepper), their best seller, Cacio e Pepe (pecorino, cream, and toasted pepper), and the Ragù, where the shredded beef meets a luscious, flavorful tomato sauce infused with garlic, lemon, and parsley. It’s a delight!

Over there, the meal wraps up with a comforting tiramisu, not too caffeinated and just the right amount of indulgent. Known for both the quality of its cooking and its family-friendly vibe, Sugo has truly made a name for itself as a beloved spot.

A must-attend event for food lovers: let's meet on March 20 for the inauguration with a delicious spread!
