This typically French pastry has been the subject of a competition, where the Seine-et-Marne department and the Syndicat des Boulangers du Grand Paris worked hard to award gold, silver, or bronze medals to those who make us melt with delight. And to find this famous winning macaron, you'll need to head over to Val-d'Oise, specifically to the bakeries-pâtisseries La Pelle & La Toque.

mp; La Toque delights the locals in the area. Created by Anthony and Laurine Regaine, the two shops have already made a name for themselves in numerous competitions. As nicely pointed out by Paris Secret, La Pelle & La Toque has already won gold and silver medals for the Best Pastry in Val-d'Oise, as well as first place for the Best Tradition in the department. 4 awards received for their macarons
The two locations of La Pelle & La Toque have just won two gold medals and two bronze medals for their macarons. Specifically, it’s the lemon-mint creation from Lofti at the Sannois shop that takes first place in the “innovative macaron” category, with just the right touch of acidity and freshness. The indulgent chocolate macaron from Jérémy at the L’Isle-Adam shop also claims a gold medal. On the bronze side, Lofti’s chocolate macaron (yes, another one!) and the foie gras and fig macaron made the cut. These delicious treats are making us salivate until our next getaway in Val-d’Oise!
