Restored spaces, refreshed cultural programming… And a brand new restaurant to indulge in! In June 2025, the Grand Palais will unveil many exciting new features, including the restored face of its iconic Palais de la découverte after five years of renovations, along with a restaurant created by Thierry Marx, located at the reception hall level. A delicious project for an extremely ambitious chef, already behind the restaurants of the Palace Mandarin Oriental (1st), the gourmet Onor (8th), Madame Brasserie (7th), and the very affordable Bouillon du Coq, which opened last June in Saint-Ouen.

A Special Connection with the Grand Palais
In March 2023, while the work at the Palais de la Découverte was in full swing, the French businessman and chef was appointed to launch a venue inside the Grand Palais. It was a perfect match, considering Thierry Marx's deep affection for the landmark. At that time, he shared that he had "always been accompanied" by this institution, from "my visits to the Palais de la Découverte to the many exhibitions I've seen, as well as to recent culinary events."
However, this week, the news was confirmed during a press conference detailing the museum's reopening schedule. A restaurant run by Eric Frechon is on the way!

Imminent Opening
The press event revealed very few details about the establishment. Thierry Marx is a versatile chef with wide-ranging interests, from baking to street food and seasonal products; the mystery surrounding the future dishes remains intact.
Luckily, there's just two months to go until the restaurant opens! Orchestrated by the SSP France group, it should be welcoming guests in June 2025, likely around the 11th, which is the reopening date of the Palais de la Découverte announced by the museum's president, Bruno Maquart. So, we’ll patiently wait, and we won't miss the chance to check this spot out for you, as the ambiance and the chef’s passion get us all excited!
