This is an exceptional project, crafted by one of the masters of the discipline. Trained all around the world by the greatest chefs, the globe-trotting baker Kamel Saci is reinventing Parisian bakery with Leonie Bakery Reuilly, inaugurated this spring in the former Reuilly-Diderot military barracks (12th). At its heart is a monumental address of 1000 m², spread over two floors to blend artisanal know-how, contemporary spirit, and a warm welcome.

A hybrid concept in a historic place

Forget the classic neighborhood bakery: Leonie Bakery Reuilly is designed to be a true community hub. Located in the Reuilly barracks, transformed into a welcoming ecosystem with housing, shops, a nursery, and a public garden since September 2021, it offers an abundant selection in a charming industrial decor. A mural signed by Parisian visual artist Olivia de Bona, burgundy polished concrete floors, and warm dark wood counters—all details are carefully considered.

Through this hybrid concept, Kamel Saci aims to reconcile traditional French baking with a contemporary, local, and responsible approach. All products are made on-site using organic flours, natural leaven, and ingredients from certified supply chains. This attention to detail is reflected in their range of breads.

signature – baguette Leonie (made with flour from the Viron mill in Chartres), Tourte de Meule, Coeur de Sarrasin, Tordu du Gers, or the bold Vollkornbrott with fruits – just like in our exceptional pastries: pure butter croissants, cinnamon-cardamom rolls, or chocolate, not to mention a fabulous homemade basque cake that’s simply amazing!

Lunch in the Shade of the Olive Trees

Designed as a bucolic haven where you can settle down and enjoy your meal, Leonie Reuilly welcomes a mix of local workers and leisurely strollers at lunchtime, all enchanted by its idyllic terrace lined with olive trees. On the menu: baguette sandwiches with seasonal recipes, homemade buns generously filled, and fresh salads… The coffee shop, born from a demanding partnership with L'Arbre à Café, extends the experience with a fine selection crafted on a Marzocco machine: whether you prefer espresso, flat white, iced coffee, or matcha latte, all taste buds are delighted. Upstairs, a versatile space with a terrace can even be privatized for workshops or gourmet events. True to the DNA of the Leonie house, which already has establishments on Rue de Lévis and Avenue des Ternes (17th).venue Trudaine (9th), rue d'Hauteville (10th), and rue Erlanger (16th), this impressive address is establishing itself as a new standard of Parisian bakery.
