Born in New York and in just a few years becoming a global phenomenon, this event dedicated to popular Japanese cuisine promises to transform some Parisian squares and monuments into a true open-air matsuri. The gathering takes place every month over a whole weekend.
A festival that travels the world
Launched in 2016 in New York, JAPAN Fes has already established itself as one of the largest Japanese food festivals in the world. Its concept is simple yet incredibly effective: bringing together dozens of stands devoted to Japanese street specialties, all in a festive atmosphere. After thrilling the streets of New York with dozens of editions each year, the festival continues its international expansion and makes a stop in Paris for the 3rd edition, with plenty of events scheduled on weekends throughout the year.

A Fest of Japanese Street Food
On site, you can discover a wide range of iconic Japanese specialties, served up just like they are in the bustling street markets of Japan. Among the must-tries: steaming bowls of ramen, yakisoba skillet-fried, steaming takoyaki, crispy karaage, golden gyoza, or even stuffed onigiri. On the sweet side, dessert lovers can also indulge in delights like mochi, dorayaki, or other traditional Japanese pastries. The idea? Taste, nibble, share, and hop from one stall to another to discover the richness of popular Japanese cuisine.

A Matsuri Vibe in the Heart of Paris
For its Paris editions, JAPAN Fes takes over various spots in the capital, especially around the Arc de Triomphe and in front of the Mairie du 15e. Throughout the day, you can stroll between the stalls, taste a plethora of specialties, and enjoy a vibe inspired by beloved Japanese festivals, where you can eat while walking... and even dance if the mood strikes you!
.
Open from 10 AM to 6 PM, the event aims to be accessible, with the idea of recreating the lively atmosphere of Japanese street markets and festivals… but right in the heart of Paris. A perfect opportunity to travel to Japan for a day without leaving the capital!
