There is no warmer welcome than here. At Ayahuma, a restaurant named after the traditional mask, we devour colorful dishes and sip cocktails infused with exotic flavors. It's an invitation to travel that cannot be refused!

Opened by Maria Rodriguez and Javier Armijos, this family restaurant is a true pioneer of authentic Ecuadorian cuisine in Paris. Between tradition and modernity, bistro and gastronomy, land and sea... We indulge in forkfuls without moderation. On the menu? A cuisine that blends the flavors of Ecuador and French expertise.

A sunny feast

We begin our adventure with a Ceviche Quiteño, straight from the capital of Ecuador and a delightful variation on the traditional recipe.traditional Peruvian ceviche that we all know. Fresh salmon, fruity and slightly tangy sauce, topped with a good amount of crispy fried bananas and popcorn. Another delightful appetizer: grilled shrimp Encocado with a creamy sauce made with coconut milk. A pure delight for the palate.

We continue this Ecuadorian feast with a French-style duck breast accompanied by roasted carrots with orange. Feeling like fish? Then go for snack albacore tuna on a bed of ripe banana and autumn vegetables. And don't hesitate to dip your bread in the plate to savor every bit! To wash it all down, we choose the classic Piña Colada.or the special Ayahuma cocktail with aguardiente, passion fruit, and egg white for creaminess. As for desserts, we embark on a (re)discovery of the famous Ecuadorian dark chocolate with the Guayaco Goloso, a purely chocolate treat accompanied by manjar de leche, which will satisfy any respectable glutton.

In short, we came here in search of a little sunshine amidst the gloom of Paris, and we found it. The simple and woody decor is subtly dressed with Maria's warm smiles. We leave with our palates filled with flavorful and comforting tastes, with a heart full of warmth and the desire to return.
