A few months ago, in October 2025, the Fondation Cartier for Contemporary Art moved from the 14th district to the heart of the capital. And in just a few more months, it will experience a new change with the opening of a prestigious restaurant within its walls. To deliver a cuisine worthy of the masterpieces displayed in the institution's galleries, celebrity chef Anne-Sophie Pic has been chosen. She will also close the doors of her Paris address to relocate to the cultural center.
An empire in full expansion
Coming from a family of chefs (her great-grandmother, grandfather, father, and brother have all been at the helm of Maison Pic), Anne-Sophie Pic initially aimed for a career in business before turning her sights to gastronomy shortly before the passing of her father.
Since then, the one that everyone turned their back on has more than proven herself in the industry, achieving no less than 11 stars over 7 restaurants, along with the title of the only woman with three Michelin stars in France. And since 2010, she has been delighting the taste buds of the capital with her restaurant la Dame de Pic, which boasts one Michelin star, and is sadly preparing to close its doors. But don’t worry, behind the end of this adventure lies some fantastic news.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
Cooking, a truly unique art
Indeed, when the chef leaves her address at 20, rue du Louvre, it’s simply to reinvent herself just a few meters away, within the Fondation Cartier. Starting next autumn, she will offer new creations inspired by her philosophy of Infusion. This approach to cooking involves infusing flavors to create subtle harmonies among the various elements on the plate. The chef, along with the sommelier from the Pic group, Paz Levinson, will also craft the bar menu, featuring cocktails thoughtfully designed to enhance the dishes offered. This promises to be truly delicious works of art to savor!
