Nom nom nom nom. For years, the Plan D counter on Rue des Vinaigriers (10th arrondissement) has been delighting us with its incredibly decadent sandwiches, just a stone's throw away from the canal. Big news: Alice Tuyet's team has announced the opening of a seated restaurant, Faubourg Daimant, with thoughtfully prepared small plates and that touch of craziness that keeps us coming back. Opening planned for August; take a seat, it's going to be awesome.
Assertive flavors and a sauce-based cuisine
The program includes what made the first location successful - a location that is always packed. No sandwiches or take-out sundaes here, but a fancy identity and elaborate cuisine in a vibrant place, part rascally, part bourgeois, but undeniably contemporary. A fundamentally vegetable cuisine of sauces where expertise, sustainability, and ethics come together, and of course, unparalleled flavors: broccoli guacamole., sweet pepper pickles, zests, basil and chives; naughty croquettes with a homemade mushroom and smoked soy paste filling, delicate jelly, crispy breadcrumb coating and ravigote sauce; or even vegetable carcass juice declined according to the seasons and cooked with roasted, reduced, and then filtered vegetables to obtain a tasty and flavorful juice. With the à la carte option or the experience menu (costs around fifty euros), accompanied by well-chosen wines. We warned you.
The opening is making a buzz, and for good reason, it has been eagerly awaited: it took Alice five years of adventures to finally open Faubourg Daimant. The result is a table set in the heart of Faubourg Poissonnière, just a stone's throw from Rue d'Enghien, a place for epicureans with vintage decor, a laid-back atmosphere, and above all, delicious food. And when you know the elegance of the flavors of the first address, one thing is for sure, we can't wait.
