It's making a strong comeback in the rankings (and apparently in the glasses too). After two years settling for the silver medal, wine is back at the top of the rankings this year. Well, we can't say we're super surprised, but it's still good news to hear, right?
Le vin reprend le leadership des boissons alcoolisées des français. Il est plébiscité par 60% des répondants du baromètre 2024 de @SOWINE , contre 58% pour la bière.https://t.co/yy5ogD39h2

20/20 for wine!
And on top of that, it's a crushing victory! Out of the 1058 French people aged 18 to 65 surveyed at the end of 2023 by SoWine and Dynata, 60% confidently mention wine as one of their favorite drinks. While only 58% talk about beer in their ranking. Okay, we may have exaggerated a bit by calling it a crushing victory. But still!
Aside from that, other alcohols are a bit left behind, as we find champagne at 39%, cocktails at 31%, cider at 21%, and finally spirits neat at 21% as well. Wine has increased by 5 points compared to last year's survey, which allows it to.Taking the lead in the race, especially among young people and women, specifies the founder of SoWine. Cheers with a glass of wine! 🍷
Tastes and colors
Here at the office, we believe that what sets this drink apart is its diversity. Whether it's red, rosé, Burgundy, or Languedoc, there's something for everyone and every occasion. Of course, some wines are more popular than others. According to a recent study, 90% of consumers enjoy white wine, followed by 87% for rosé and 82% for red (a decrease from the previous year when red wine was in the lead). Bordeaux seems to be the favorite among vineyards, even though 85% of its production is red.
