The Editor

Every year, the Michelin Guide ceremony is eagerly awaited like the Messiah in the world of gastronomy. Who will win a star? Who will lose their title? Who will be honored with a prestigious award? No need for suspense, we have the names of the winners.

A delightful accomplishment for the capital

And this year, 62 new stars have been awarded, including 52 first macarons (compared to 39 last year). 12 Parisian establishments have thus solidified their place in the race for stars:

Espadon – 1st
Nhome – 1st
Le Tout-Paris – 1st
Sushi Yoshinaga – 2nd
Datil – 3rd
Hémicycle – 7th
Galanga – 8th
Maison Dubois – 8th
Onor – 8th
Géosmine – 11th
Chakaiseiki Akiyoshi – 15th
Blanc – 16th

In addition to this list, some restaurants were awarded specific prizes, such as Le Pré Catelan (16th - pastry chef: Max Martin) and l'Hémicycle (7th - pastry chef: Aurora Stora), joining the Passion selection Dessert 2024. Also worth mentioning is L'Écrin, located in the 8th arrondissement, which won the sommellerie prize, thanks to Xavier Thuizat. In February, the famous red guide had already revealed the list of the 56 new Bib Gourmand rest. A rain of stars

In addition to these new additions who, one can imagine, must be overjoyed, 4 other restaurants are added to this list. 3 receive their 2nd star (distinctions obtained by 8 restaurants in total), and 1 for a third star, with only 2 winners. And that, my friends, is absolute class. So we find Le Jules.Verne (7th), Maison Ruggieri (8th) and L'Orangerie (Hôtel Georg. In this edition, the Michelin Guide celebrates the outstanding talents of Parisian chefs, with Le Cinq (8th) and Le Pré Catelan (16th) both reaching the respective milestone of two stars. And finally, the true Parisian king of this edition is Le Gabriel, at La Réserve Hotel (8th), where chef Jérôme Banctel has been working since 2015, obtaining the ultimate prize: 3 stars.

A contest that doesn't make everyone happy

Unfortunately, for some, this event also marks the end of glory, and the loss of hard-earned stars. And this year, 8 establishments in Paris or in Île-de-France have had their macarons taken away:

Jin – 1st
ERH – 2nd
Auberge Nicolas Flamel – 3rd
Ogata – 3rd
L’Atelier deJoël Robuchon - St-Germain – 7th
Aspic - 9th
La Condesa - 9th
Le Chiquito - Méry-sur-Oise (95)

Hang in there, we can only imagine the disappointment, but with a bit of luck, this setback is only temporary, and they can celebrate again next year!
