The Editor

On February 19th, the Boulevard de Belleville will become the meeting place for lovers of Asian street food for Lunar New Year. A new edition of the Food Market just the way we like it, in a total immersion among a thousand and one red lanterns, spicy aromas, and authentic flavors.

The Year of the Fire Horse

The Lunar New Year 2026 marks the arrival of the Fire Horse, a combination as rare as it is powerful, symbolizing freedom, determination, momentum, and above all, movement. In Asian culture, this year is favorable to boldness, vitality, and independence of spirit. It's with this spirit that the Food Market has crafted a special edition to honor this unique time, bringing together flavors from afar to enjoy right here in Paris.

The Lunar New Year is also a story of symbols: red for prosperity, the lion dance for good luck, and drums to drive away bad energy and keep the evening lively. In between bites, it's easy to get swept up in the excitement of this ancient celebration.

Culinary treasures to (re)discover

From 6 PM to 10:30 PM, Belleville Boulevard will come alive with the sounds of drums and sizzling woks. A handpicked selection of about fifteen restaurateurs will showcase the best of Asian cuisine. Do you love crispy, tender, or chewy delights? Then you're in for a treat! Picture this: hundreds of dumplings from Ravioli Nord-Est, steaming momos from Jatra, delicious bánh mì from Coupi Bar, and crispy fried chicken.

à la taiwanaise de Bopome, or an explosive collaboration between the group Panda Panda and Asahi beer. And this is just a sneak peek…
