A festive dinner right in the middle of a supermarket, sounds tempting, right? This is the crazy bet that the Bao Family has taken on to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Besides their annual feast at Gros Bao, the leaders of modern Chinese cuisine in Paris are setting up shop in the aisles of the iconic Tang Frères on Avenue d'Ivry, for a most unusual banquet.

Delicious Treats at Gros Bao

The Bao Family is going all out for the Lunar New Year, preparing a spectacular two-part celebration. We kick off the festivities on February 17 (the day of transition to the Year of the Fire Horse) at Gros Bao in the 10th arrondissement with a unique traditional menu that will have plates spinning: shrimp spring rolls; beef baos or veggie ones with pumpkin; Sichuan-style broccolini; Pulled Duck and pancakes (a must-try); Shanghai-style noodles; and for dessert, a mini chocolate bao, a limited edition crafted just for this occasion!

especially for the Lunar New Year.

A banquet in a supermarket?

Because on a festive evening, it’s definitely not enough, the Bao Family is elevating the celebration this year with a truly surprising banquet. So, mark your calendars for February 19th at 8:45 PM at Tang Frères, the emblem and symbol of Paris's Chinatown, right in the heart of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Join them for their...50 years old, and alongside the Bao Family and Barbes Magazine, the brand is turning its famous shop on Avenue d'Ivry into a XXL dining room. The idea? We sit among the spices and instant noodles for a meal like no other, imagined by the Sino-American chef Zoey Xinyi Gong inspired by the theme of traditional Chinese medicine.

Attention, when we say an exceptional dinner, we obviously mean very limited seating. The first spots are already sold out, but stay alert because a second round is coming up very soon!
