On the occasion of the Lunar New Year – which will take place this year on February 17th and marks the start of the Year of the Fire Horse – Shangri-La Paris pays tribute to its Hong Kong origins with a majestic celebration in the heart of the palace. With a blend of traditions and elegance, festive brunch, and lion dances, here's the lineup!
An Asian Brunch to Welcome the New Year
Under the majestic glass dome of the La Bauhinia restaurant (one of the two dining spots at Shangri-La), Chef Simon Havage will be serving up delightful dishes for an exclusive brunch on Sunday, February 22nd. A burst of flavors in every bite, all in a festive atmosphere, with a menu featuring: crab and caviar dim sum; royal dashi Chawanmushi; salmon and bream sashimi; hong shao eggplant; stir-fried vegetable noodles; lotus leaf steamed sea bass; sweet and sour pork; plus a buffet of dim sum, seafood, and delightful desserts!

An Exceptional Menu at Shang Palace
We're continuing to delight our taste buds at the second restaurant of the palace, Shang Palace. Here, Chef Tony Xu has crafted a very special menu for the Chinese New Year featuring exceptional dishes. It’s a true culinary journey into high-class Chinese gastronomy! On the menu, you’ll find: Lo Hei salad with yellowtail and caviar; gluten-free lobster dumplings; scallops in gong bao sauce; Peking duck; sautéed A4 wagyu with black pepper sauce; sautéed brown rice with seasonal vegetables and mushrooms; and for a sweet touch, pineapple flavored with Sichuan pepper, ginger, served with coriander and basil sorbet. A must!
Lion Dance in a Palace
To spice up the festivities, Shangri-La Paris sticks to tradition and presents two highly colorful and festive events. On February 17th and 22nd, we’ll be treated to a 100% free lion dance performance.
