On Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30, 2025, rue de Nancy in the 10th district transforms into a Japanese atmosphere. And why not? Two of its beloved spots, Espace Japon and Grand Quartier, are teaming up to bring you the very first edition of the Ennichi festival, taking you on a direct journey to the land of the Rising Sun. A whole weekend of festivities awaits you, inspired by traditional Japanese matsuri !
Food, always and forever
Let’s start with the most important part: food! The Ennichi festival will be the perfect opportunity to discover Japanese specialties prepared at Espace Gohan, the official restaurant of Espace Japon. You can look forward to tasty onigiri, kare pan (curry-filled buns), and delicious Japanese pastries waiting for you at the restaurant or in the courtyard of the Grand Quartier hotel.to take your taste buds on a journey in no time at all.

And for those who love both eating and getting hands-on, good news, you can do both because the festival will also offer culinary workshops centered around 3 specialties: onigiri, the m...ochi, and temari-sushi. Each of these courses, available to everyone, lasts around forty minutes, but be aware, they are not free, and you will be asked to pay €15 to unlock the secrets of the greatest Japanese chefs.
A Cultural Delight
Beyond gastronomy, you will have the chance to (re)discover all of Japanese culture throughout the weekend. Within the Japanese Market, enjoy the booths of artisans and Japanese creators to admire ceramics, jewelry, and stationery. You will also have the opportunity to discover the art of sake thanks to passionate experts offering free tastings. Workshops will allow you to learn the art of origami, calligraphy, and even koinobori, these colorful carp banners!

As the cherry on top, there will be artistic performances and games offered to you for free throughout the weekend, to fully immerse you in the experience. You'll get to enjoy dance, karate, and much more! Japanese, but also booths to try out traditional Japanese games, there will be something for everyone’s taste !
