This weekend, the 6th edition of the International Gastronomy Village takes us on 4 days of conviviality around cuisine. More than 70 countries and French regions will be represented by no less than 400 chefs. The event will take place from September 7th to 10th in the gardens of Trocadéro!
A world tour in 4 days
On nearly 4800 m², the village will showcase the richness of world gastronomy through various pavilions and activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste culinary specialties from around the world, participate in workshops, and discover the cultures behind the recipes. It will be a true celebration of food and a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of international cuisine.
The International Village of Gastronomy is clearly
one of the biggest food events in the capital. Here, we discover stands for each country and French terroir that reveal popular cuisine and original culture through
tastings, dining, sale of good products from producers, or even crafts. A perfect way to have an authentic discovery of the five continents, from Argentina to Cambodia, including Tunisia and India. All sponsored by
Michelin-starred chef Guy Savoy, who heads the restaurant at the Monnaie de Paris. Impressive, right?
In addition to this great gastronomic tour, the village will set up a central stage where concerts, shows, parades, and traditional costume displays will take place, bustling with the richness of each country's cultural heritage.
Gastro-diplomatic event
The Musée de l'Homme, the International Village of Gastronomy, La Liste, the Disciples d'Escoffier, and the Tables Citoyennes have created a wonderful program for the entire duration of the event, with 25 round tables bringing together nearly 150 speakers. The topics cover diplomacy, hospitality and catering, scientific research, food and sustainable development actors, as well as French and international culinary associations. The walls of the Musée de l'Homme host a series of conferences on the challenges of humanity's food heritage, as well as more historical and educational subjects such as Cuisine and Prehistory.
In addition to all these beautiful discussions, young and old will also be able to participate in free cooking workshops with ambassador chefs like Katia Ajoup-Desprez and Nicolas Rota. Making crunchy vegetable wraps in a maki style, milk flower verrines with seasonal fruits and a touch of speculoos... One thing is for sure, this weekend will be highly delicious.
