Since June 15th, and until the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the well-known bakery Frappe, located near the Place Voltaire, has set up shop in... An old newspaper kiosk. Following a project launched by the town hall of the 11th arrondissement, the bakery has taken over this unique space, without a kitchen or running water, to set up a counter for croissants! Long live the single product In this small hut no bigger than a typical Parisian maid's room, the Frappe team is waiting for you from Wednesday to Sunday all day long, offering you a variety of croissants. From the classic butter croissant to one filled with delicious vanilla cream, and even the giant croissant, there are about ten different versions to choose from! What a treat to allow everyone to find the pastry they desire. And, of course, all these sweet delights are sold fresh, as they are prepared in one of the bakery's laboratories, located just a short walk away.

An investment for the Olympics

In order to set up shop in this tiny space, the bakery had to spend a certain amount, which they hope to make back thanks to the upcoming Olympics. The (relative) influx of tourists should indeed help to boost sales. And it is for this reason that Solène, the director, chose to highlight the croissant, a symbol of French gastronomy. As a nod to the history of this kiosk, all pastries are sold in newspaper wraps, which will surely appeal to visitors. The kiosk will be open all summer, before closing for a few days at the end of August. After that, it will be available until the month of October! That leaves you plenty of time to choose from the different options... Or to try them all!
