It's the perfect opportunity to indulge guilt-free and without breaking the bank! No need for breakfast because it all starts bright and early at 9 am on Saturday, January 27th. In the heart of the legendary Montmartre neighborhood, on the Place des Abbesses, the Saint-Jacques shellfish festival is back. On the agenda: free tastings of scallops, culinary demonstrations, a gourmet market, stalls selling fish from the Côtes d'Armor auctions... In short, a whole bunch of festivities centered around the sea to treat yourself.
The queen of the weekend: the scallop
In France, we know our scallops. There's no question of competition, it's not even a consideration: the French hold the world record for consumption of scallops with approximately 2.5 kg per person per year. And here's a great opportunity to treat yourself to some delicious scallops!
If you come here to taste good products, you also come here to discover the professions of the fishing industry and the know-how of Breton producers. Producers from all along the Armorican coast will be present at the gastronomic market to offer you local specialties, in addition to the activities proposed throughout the weekend. To see a tribe of little sailors in yellow raincoats, rain boots, and navy blue sailors, this is the weekend not to be missed.

They are really nice, these Bretons!
Faithful to the post for 15 years, the association of Erquy delights us with the sale of fish and crustaceans all weekend long. For dessert, it's mandatory to visit the stands of Breton pancakes and Kouign Amann and, of course, don't forget to hydrate yourself with a good pint of dry or sweet cider, it's up to you. It's the opportunity for all (true) expatriated Bretons to show off their Costarmoricain know-how. To guarantee a total immersion, folk music groups will also be there to get the lyrics of the greatest sea shanties stuck in your head for at least a week.
In short, to finish January beautifully and indulge in the company of Breton cousins, it's really a must-go!
