In the list of unusual croissants in Paris, I ask for the croissant with black sesame from the Pépite bakery! Super tasty and especially flaky, these pastries are a real treat for the eyes and the mouth: a croissant dough with butter and black charcoal, filled with a black sesame pastry cream, all topped with a very indulgent black sesame ganache... We tried it and we can say it's amazing. And it's perfect timing, this Saturday, April 6, starting at 2pm, the bakery is organizing a special day around its signature pastry during which all black sesame croissants will be sold for only 1 euro (instead of 4.50 euros). A creative bakery in the 11th arrondissement Founded in late 2022 by Alice Lin, Pépite Boulangerie is a place that showcases the art of pastry-making. Handcrafted series in an increasingly creative way, combining French bakery classics with surprising innovations. This can be seen in its famous black sesame croissants, but also in its brookies and carrot cakes in small take-away boxes, or even in its matcha mochi-cookie recipe.
Alice Lin draws a lot of inspiration from her Chinese roots and flavors in her creations. She trained at Le Cordon Bleu and earned a Pastry CAP from a prestigious Parisian cooking school in 2018. With experience at renowned kitchens like Meurice and Anne Sophie Pic's, she opened her own bakery in late 2022.
