This is what we call a triple win! In Clamart, it’s an understatement to say that the boulangerie Des Racines et du Pain stands out. On Friday, October 3rd, facing 64 competitors from all over the Île-de-France, their organic country bread took first place in the prestigious regional competition. A bread with an airy crumb and a golden crust, it captivated the jury with its perfect bake, rustic aroma, and authentic flavor.

The taste of a job well done

Behind this success is Basile Fourmont, a passionate artisan who, after traveling across France to perfect his craft, took over the bakery with his wife Cynthia.

Together with their baker, Dylan Da Silva, they uphold a vision of the trade based on tradition, quality workmanship, and high-quality raw materials. Every dough is kneaded by hand, and each batch is crafted with care. The result? In just a few months, the bakery has made a name for itself by winning the best croissant, the best baguette… and now, the best organic country bread in Île-de-France.

A 100% Île-de-France Podium

While Des Racines et du Pain takes the top spot, other excellent bakeries complete the top trio: the boulangerie Graine in the 20th arrondissement of Paris and Maison La Craquante in Montgeron, Essonne.

These artisans will represent the re... cute;gion at the general agricultural competition during the 2026 Agricultural Fair. A first-time event that highlights the talent and dedication of those who bring the French baking heritage to life every day, with passion and skill.
