At Bonbon, we love to offer you the best of the best. That’s why we spend most of our time whipping up top picks to point out the must-visit spots. For example, we’ve delved into the best Chinese dumplings, the most amazing sandwiches in the capital, and of course, cookies. And it turns out we weren’t the only ones on the quest for the ultimate cookie, as the teams led by François-Régis Gaudry at Très Très Bon were also exploring the topic, on a national scale.this time. And the result is undeniable, the best among them is found in Paris.
The cookie, a true art
To choose the best cookie in France, the most famous food critic in the country gathered a team of keen connoisseurs, including pastry chef Christophe Michalak, Instagrammer and author Constance Lasserre, aka Hungry Consti, Valentine Oudard, and American restaurateur Marc Grossman. Together, they studied about twenty cookies from all over the country. They rated the texture, the quality of the chocolate, and also the balance of flavors to find the ultimate gem.

When it comes to cookies, we often forget that everyone has their own personal preferences. Some love the crunchy kind, others swear by the chewy, and some can't stand the fleur de sel (shame on you!). But it seems that this time, one of the candidates has won unanimous praise. Indeed, the big winner, who hails from a café in the 11th arrondissement, scored no less than 18 votes out of 20 from the jury members!
A very, very… unique cookie
After what must have been the shortest deliberations in the world, the creation from the café Singuliers in the 11th took home the gold medal. A cookie that seems quite simple on paper, chocolate…Dark chocolate and fleur de sel stood out thanks to its unimaginable texture and high-quality ingredients. Rich 70% chocolate, Maldon salt crystals, crispy edges, and a delightfully melting interior were more than enough to win over the jury.

And the good news is that the 2nd and 3rd spots in the ranking are also occupied by Parisian addresses, which means maximum enjoyment for all the folks in Paname! It’s Moku Nuts, another establishment from the 11th arrondissement, snagging the silver medal, just ahead of Snack Attack in the 9th. In the top 8, there’s also a spot in Bordeaux, one in Lille, and even one in Marseille, showing that, even if they can’t quite match us, other cities in France definitely have their own merit!
