A crunchy brioche bread, melting cheese, perfectly spicy sauces, a juicy steak and some pickles... That's the recipe for a burger we love. And Paris is filled with delicious places to enjoy a decadent burger. To differentiate them, the Socopa brand launched its French burger competition in 2016. The results of the 2023 edition were announced this Wednesday, April 12th, and the best burger in Île-de-France apparently comes from Annette's Diner restaurant, right in the heart of Disney Village (Seine-et-Marne). Surprised? Us too. But now we can't wait to try out the recipe created by sous-chef Cédric Albaret. A "rock'n'roll" burger with Mexican influences, that's what the best burger in France 2023 is in Compiègne, in Hauts-de-France., the winner of the Île-de-France region is not found within the capital, but a few dozen kilometers away, in Chessy. Cédric Albaret, a sous-chef at Annette's Diner in Disney Village, has won the title of the best burger in Île-de-France at the 8th edition of the Burger France Cup, which was themed "rock'n'roll", thanks to a rather audacious creation: the "Tequila".

The recipe? A unique burger, with Mexican and American influences, composed of a steak marinated with tequila and red onion, flambéed and melted cheddar cheese with crispy bacon and onions, and a spicy sauce with pickled peppers and jalapeno peppers. All served in a soft brioche bun, garnished with avocado, tomato, coriander, and lime tartare, and fresh rocket lettuce.

A good reason to go eat at Disney Village?

Every year, Disneyland Paris attracts millions of visitors from around the world. While the giant theme park is a master in the art of imagination and entertainment for young and old, it is not renowned for its fine dining. . Between fast food in excess, all-you-can-eat buffets with questionable quality, long waiting times, and prices that sometimes go over budget... Disneyland Paris is far from honoring the "capital of gastronomy".

The title received by the restaurant at Disney Village proves all those who criticized the park's dining options wrong. It just goes to show that you shouldn't always judge a book by its cover. While waiting for Cédric Albaret's creation to be added to the menu at Annette's Diner, let's go try the other burgers at the restaurant and form a new opinion on the matter. Bon appétit!
