Attention all fans of buttery pastries and croissants! The show The Best Bakery in France, aired on M6, made its big return on January 6th for a 12th season that promises to be mouthwateringly delightful. This new edition follows the famous baker Bruno Cormerais (best craftsman of France 2024) and pastry chef Noémie Honiat as they travel across the four corners of France in search of the best bakery in the country.

Every week, these two sweet-toothed explorers delve into one region and meet with about ten bakers who showcase their creations in front of an expert jury, which includes the renowned Michel Sarran, a Michelin-starred chef from Toulouse. The chefs use all their senses for the occasion, evaluating breads, pastries, and desserts of all kinds based on skill and creativity.

A Week in Île-de-France

In their little tour of the French regions,

s, the show is, of course, making a stop in Paris. For a week, Bruno Cormerais and our beloved Chiara Serpaggi (who is stepping in for Noëmie Honiat for a few weeks during the competition) will be going on a tour of the renowned spots in Île-de-France

In total, 10 bakeries competing in Paris and its surroundings will go head-to-head all week from Monday, March 10 to Friday, March 14, tackling four pre-defined challenges. The ten spots in Île-de-France will be judged on the aesthetics of their shop, will need to showcase their signature product as well as a signature bread, and finally, they will take on the jury's challenge to showcase their creativity.
