Already tired of the year 2024? We suggest taking a direct trip back to the 70s, at least for one evening. We have scoured the capital to find the best places with a retro and groovy atmosphere. Time to dust off your bell-bottoms!

It is well known that the best jam is made in old pots, and these establishments have understood that well! To liven up our evenings in January, it is highly recommended to go on a tour of restaurants and bars back to the 70's. You will forget the era in which you were born by immersing yourself in atmospheres worthy of Tarantino films. Zapi: Here, we devour pizzas to our heart's content in a vintage Italian decor. Cocktails, thin pizzas, and delicious pastas come together for a truly indulgent and 100% Italian moment! Chef Simone Soriga puts his own twist on the classic Margherita pizza.You propose more original versions like the Romana with its white base, guanciale, artichoke, rocket, and parmesan. By the way, the tiramisu is to make you crazy.

Libertino

If you like the atmosphere of Big Mamma restaurants, visit Libertino, the latest addition to the group with an Italian-disco and almost kitschy atmosphere that pays homage to the 70s. Here, you can enjoy classic dishesques alla Big Mamma: truffle pasta, unlimited pizzas, XXL burrata. We love its rotating disco bar and its carpeted walls that make us feel like we're in one of those secret, vintage Parisian spots.

All the residents of the Les Halles neighborhood know this famous bell that signals the arrival of delicious food and good times at Libertino.

This traditional address reveals a decor halfway between the 70s and the 20s, with its green banquettes and marble bar. The 2.0 brasserie is a hit, but a reservation is mandatory to say that you have been to lunch at La Cloche!

BB restaurant

At any time of the day, the BB restaurant welcomes you like home, but much better ! Here, you will be immersed in a 100% 70's atmosphere, every object having been picked from renowned antique dealers, giving it a special soul. Special mention for the ultra-pop toilets with intoxicating orange tiles. The little street corner offers delicious, original and flavorful dishes for lunch and dinner, and once the night falls, it turns into a true party temple, just the way we like it.

Chimera

Leopard atmosphere, mirrors and velvet, dim and chic just the way we like it; at Chimera, it feels like we're stepping into the set of a retro film like American Gigolo. The menu is as well-organized as a film studio: the ingredients are super fresh, cooked over a flame for more flavor, and there are some great natural wines to discover there. Small plates to share, seafood or meat dishes… there's something for everyone.

Grouvie

Craving a cocktail at the end of the day? It's above Brasserie des Prés in the 6th arrondissement where all the magic happens. This cozy little perch is the lair of Jennifer Le Nechet, a champion mixologist. With her, cocktails are as refreshing as a glass of milk. We enjoy them to the sound of vinyl turntables, in the heart of a soothing, elegant, and design decor (all in red); the perfect combo to forget, for one night, that we are in Paris in 2024.Have you seen this Instagram post? Bistrot Podium

Podium is the restaurant that offers the perfect combination of gourmet cuisine and a fun and relaxed 70's atmosphere, just a stone's throw away from the Seine. In charge is chef Glenn Viel, notably known for being a coach on the show Top Chef. Nostalgics beware: from floor to ceiling, it's truly a dive into the depths of the groovy years. The menu is a great mix of iconic dishes that will bring back good memories for the older ones, all with a fantastic value for money.
