At the helm of this establishment is Chef Mr. Wong, a master of all things dim sum, who dances bamboo steamers late into the night. And for Chinese New Year, the chef has crafted a unique menu featuring an assortment of dumplings with 8 dim sum and 6 gyoza, izakaya-style plates with fresh tofu and a shrimp salad, and for dessert, a big warm mochi filled with black sesame and peanuts.

This is the neighborhood spot that you can’t get enough of! Sobremesa delights the whole 18th district with delicious plates inspired by Asian cuisine and beautifully curated natural wines. And for the Lunar New Year, the founder of the restaurant, Marie, decided to team up with her family (grandma, mom, and little brother in the mix) to create a special Vietnamese-inspired menu. It’s a 7 or 8-course meal that draws directly from the authentic recipes her parents used to serve at their traditional restaurant in the 15th. What’s on the menu? Classic Vietnamese New Year dishes and some delightful “surprises from the chef” with tomb...hello and karaoke as a bonus to get in the mood.
