Out of the 100 highlighted bars, 61 are outside of Paris, spread across 22 cities and twelve regions. There are twelve distinguished establishments in Lyon, along with eight bars in Bordeaux and six bars in Marseille. Toulouse, Montpellier, Nantes, and Strasbourg also shine on the national scene with five, four, and three (in Nantes and Strasbourg) bars in the top 100 respectively. In Nice, Annecy, Rouen, Dijon, and Lille, two bars were awarded the prestigious recognition. This is undeniable proof that " the French bar scene is alive, reinventing itself and excelling all over the territory. Seeing 13 regions and 23 cities represented in this first edition confirms that the richness of this profession far exceeds the too-rare establishments typically recognized », says Frédéric Roginska, founder.
