Just like her, there are 12,000 young people aged 6 to 25 and from all corners of France, who are supported every year by the association. "Our mission is to create a bond of trust with the young people and their families, to get them out of the neighborhoods and to help them discover the world of business," explains Garance Pallier, marketing and communication director of the association.
Support from the sports field to professional life
Sport, a unifying, challenging, and universal discipline, used as a major tool by the association.
To act on the social and professional integration of young people, Sport dans la Ville brings them together on the 68 fields it owns, spread across Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and PACA. Football, basketball, boxing, dancing, tennis, and rugby... Every Wednesday and Saturday, free 1.5-hour sports sessions are organized for these adolescents. Intense sSessions, yes, but they are synonymous with reunions. "It allows us to make lots of friends, and the fact of not being alone motivates us to participate even more. We think it's structured and very formal but in reality, the people from the association are like a second family," explains Basmala.©Sport dans la Ville
The support from Sport dans la Ville goes beyond the field and stadiums. Through sports, the association promotes values of sharing, respect, and inclusion, while also preparing young people for the world of work. With its various programs - Job dans la Ville, Réussite dans la Ville, and Entrepreneurs dans la Ville - it guides them in their career orientation, provides academic support if needed, or supports projects initiated by entrepreneurial talents from priority neighborhoods. The "L dans la Ville" program is dedicated to promoting the practice of sports among girls, as there are only 28% of girls on the field.
A solidarity and international festival for the Olympics
In the Olympic context of the year 2024, the association organizes a Double excitement. From Lyon to Paris, they will be introduced to about twenty different sports, take part in cultural visits to iconic sites in both cities, and have the privilege of attending the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
Get ready for the Olympic and Paralympic Games on July 26th! It's a special chance to expand your horizons, explore new cultures, and build connections. This event is all about equality, inclusivity, respect, and sharing. 🌟🌍🤝 #OlympicsReady
