Paris in the top 10 best French cities to live in as a woman

The magazine Femme Actuelle has focused on the quality of life of women in establishments by ranking the best cities in France where it is good to live. While Strasbourg takes the top spot, the capital is not far behind with a decent 7th place out of 50 cities.

According to a ranking established by Femme Actuelle, Paris ranks 7th in the best cities in France to live in as a woman. The women's magazine revealed "the cities that love women" in a special feature after an 8-month investigation. Not cause for celebration, but when you consider that the ranking includes 50 French cities, it's not so bad. There is still work to be done to reach the level of the top performers in this ranking, which are Strasbourg, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lyon, and Nantes. At the bottom of the ranking, we find Perpignan, Antibes, and Troyes.Hello there!

A ranking established according to several indicators

To distinguish the cities where the quality of life for women is the best among the 50 largest French municipalities, the magazine relied on data divided into 4 major chapters - namely healthcare services, security, living environment, and municipal authorities' actions - and 21 indicators derived from them. The numbers were provided by the Ministries of the Interior and Health, the CAF, INSEE, Cite.

From bike-sharing services to online marketplaces like Leboncoin, Paris is proud to be a city that welcomes and caters to women. As Femme Actuelle introduces in their investigation, "The ideal city doesn't exist, and even less so for women. To paraphrase geographer Yves Raibaud, it is often thought, constructed, and arranged by men for men. Thank you."
