Dear friends followers of the line 9, we have some not-so-great news for you. For the past month and for the next 4 months, the apple green line cars will be regularly stopped entirely. There will be closures spread over several weekends until June, lasting between 1 and 2 days. And guess what? That's happening this weekend!
A New Control System
The reason behind this complete closure of line 9 is "the improvement of the train control system". It's a massive modernization project that will bring trains closer together, ensuring more fluidity and regularity. It's fantastic news! But here's the catch: the implementation of a new onboard system, essential for these optimizations, is happening right from the drivers' cabins.
The train, requiring a complete shutdown of the line to equip all the trains. Between installation and testing, RATP has planned a total of 8 black days on the network during which no one will be able to rely on trains running from Boulogne to Montreuil.

A Calendar to Remember
And unfortunately, as the saying goes, good news never comes alone. You guessed it – there are still 4 challenges to face by the end of the year. But looking on the bright side, we can say that it's already less than half! Since we're nice, we're sharing with you the next dates so you can get organized ahead of time. So mark your calendars for March 30, May 4 and 31, and June 1. And on top of that, the Paris transport authority has also announced some maintenance days and disruptions at the beginning of next August, before the final rollout of the new system. We’re still waiting to find out how much delay to expect, and if more workdays are on the horizon.is from here.
Ligne 9 hier soir.
