The creator of Harry Potter, who has faced some criticism from the trans community, is stepping up to support For Women Scotland by making a generous donation towards their legal fees. This incredible organization is dedicated to redefining the term "woman" in the 2018 law on gender representation in public boards. How amazing is that?

New controversy for JK Rowling, who now openly embraces her extreme transphobia, even spending colossal sums to reaffirm her hatred. A true reference in anti-trans movements in the UK, the author of the Harry Potter literary saga has just donated 70,000 pounds sterling, approximately 81,000 euros, to the organization For Women Scotland, currently in legal battles.

Financial support to cover legal fees

Founded in June 2018, For Women Scotland describes itself as " a group of women from Scotland, working for the protection of women's and children's rights ". A definition that is quite misleading, as it excludes from the category of " women " those who have undergone a gender transition. The group opposes the right to change gender on legal documents, denying the fact that a person assigned male at birth is a woman, and vice versa. A denial that is quite outdated, yet supported by the author who influenced the childhood of many generations.

In 2021, this organization sued the Scottish government to challenge the Gender Representation on Public Boards Act. The legislation aimed to ensure that non-executive board members of public bodies are made up of an equal number of men and women.

The group recently lost the lawsuit in which they tried to restrict access to biological women, but they appealed, and that's when J.K. stepped in to financially support the organization.
