La Seine Musicale keeps surprising us every month by offering new shows that are all more dazzling than the last. What has caught our attention this time? Mythologies, a contemporary ballet choreographed by the great Angelin Preljocaj, will take the stage at the legendary venue from June 25 to June 29, 2025. 1. Enjoy a 1.5-hour show that is both enchanting and impactful
With this performance, choreographer Angelin Preljocaj presents us with a danced dialogue between the greatest myths and our contemporary rituals. For 1.5 hours, the show invites us to take a critical look at our society and the events happening within it through the lens of the most famous myths.rave;bres. Zeus and Dana&eacut;e, the Minotaur, or even Perseus and the Gorgons come to meet the vision of wrestling as interpreted by Roland Barthes, or the Mayan celebrations. There's a duality between myth and reality, which encourages us to explore the imagination and serves as a mirror of the world we live in. Do we repeat the same mistakes, or do we learn from them ?

2. Let’s get swept away by the breathtaking performances of 20 dancers
20 dancers from Ballet Preljocaj grace the stage at La Seine Musicale, bringing this show to life. Throughout the twenty scenes, their movements, both fluid and sharp, express pain, justice, struggle, but also tenderness and love that dwell within the stories of each myth and, by extension, our societies. These precise movements place dance as a beautiful way to evoke the challenges of our time.

3. We are treated to a performance set to music by Thomas Bangalter
To provide the perfect soundtrack for such a performance, it was essential to call upon a talented artist. And that’s exactly what Thomas Bangalter, an extraordinary musician and almost mystical figure, did with brilliance. The former member of the group Daft Punk has composed an original symphonic score that beautifully accompanies the dancers as they move.

4. Discovering the work of an extraordinary artistic team
Mythologies features a magnificent choreographer, astonishing dancers, and captivating music. But it's also about the stunning light and shadow play by Éric Soyer that reveals the show's message even more, high-fashion costumes designed by Adeline André that beautifully follow every movement of the artists, and the XXL videos by Nicolas Clauss, which come alive in a minimalist set design and intensify the immersion in the performance even further.
