The Count of Monte Cristo is definitely not done stealing the spotlight! After a huge success in theaters in 2024 with an adaptation by Alexandre de La Patelliere and Matthieu Delaporte featuring Pierre Niney and Anaïs Demoustier, the original story by Alexandre Dumas is set to hit the Parisian stage. From February 5 to April 19, 2026, the Folies Bergère will host the musical show Monte Cristo, and we can't wait to experience this tale in a brand new way!

The Original Story by Alexandre Dumas on Stage
What to expect? A deep dive into Dumas’ work in the 19th century. Edmond Dantès falls victim to a complete set-up and is arrested for a crime he didn't commit. He manages to escape from the castle where he has been imprisoned for 14 years and begins his new life as the Count of Monte Cristo. His goal: to seek revenge on those who betrayed him. In a production by Alexandre Faitrouni, the text by Stéphane Laporte and Yann Guillon will be accompanied by songs written by Benoît Poher (Kyo) and Franklin Ferrand.

It will start on September 19, 2026 in Amnéville and will make stops in Strasbourg, Reims, Lille, Caen, Rouen, Orléans, Montpellier, Lyon, Nantes, Toulouse, Marseille, Bordeaux, and Dijon. There’s also a date in Switzerland planned: see you in Geneva on November 14, 2026!
