The Count of Monte Cristo doesn't seem to have said his final word. After the resounding success of the film featuring Pierre Niney, directed by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte and released in 2024, the famous character created by Alexandre Dumas is stepping out of the worlds of literature and cinema to grace the stage of the great Parisian theaters. It looks like 2026 will be the year of Edmond Dantès, as two musical shows will be dedicated to him. One of them will take place at the Folies Bergère, while the other, titled The Legend of Monte Cristo, will be performed from January 29 to February 5, 2026, at the Dôme de Paris.
