So yes, Chatou might not sound dreamy. But we promise you that 1) it's not that far and 2) just like every time with Cirque du Soleil, it’s really worth it. This winter, just a stone's throw from Paris, on the Impressionists' island, the most famous circus company in the world invites you to rediscover one of its biggest hits in a new way: Alegría – A New Day. The troupe will be here for the first time in France with this show for over a month, to our great delight.
An international success brought back to life
In 1994, Cirque du Soleil launched Alegría ("joy" or "glee" in Spanish), a show that ran until 2013, quickly becoming one of the most popular performances by the company. In 2019, for the 25th anniversary of the original show, a new staging of this remarkable story...
with must-have music is created. Alegría – A New Day then embarks on a world tour and, to our immense joy, comes to Paris this winter.

The show, completely reimagined, invites us to rediscover this story of power and the struggle against the established order in a more modern way. From costumes to sets, from choreography to acrobatics, every detail has been reworked to touch a new generation of spectators, who will enjoy the adventures of Mr. Fleur, the Aristocrats, or the Bronx just as much as 25 years ago, all set to a soundtrack that hasn't changed a bit and still sweeps us away.
Breathtaking performances
Get ready to spend the whole evening on the edge of your seat, holding your breath with wide-open eyes. The artists are...follow and, even though they don't look alike, they all amaze us with their talent and abilities. A true acrobatic ode to the unstoppable power of hope, Alegría – A New Day, offers more than two hours of breathtaking numbers that flow seamlessly in a magical atmosphere.

From clowns that make us laugh until we cry to fire jugglers, and not to mention trapeze acts, wheel performances, acrobatics, and aerial silks, it’s an absolute triumph that leaves us amazed from start to finish. And yes, we know we’re giving you a heads up a bit early, but the ticket sales are already open, and spots are likely to sell out quickly, despite the 22 new dates just added. What’s in store? A rare moment of poetry, alternating between comedy and emotions, between lyricism and nostalgia, offering us the most beautiful gift: the chance to dream and hope without any limits for just a little while.
