It looks like 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for The Count of Monte Cristo! After the announcement of two musical shows dedicated to the famous story written by Alexandre Dumas, at the Dôme de Paris and the Folies Bergère early next year, it seems that the story will once again grace the darkened halls, accompanied by an orchestra. For the very first time, the film by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, released in 2024 featuring Pierre Niney as the main character, will be presented in a film-concert. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, and a wonderful surprise awaits future audience members!
A screening accompanied by 80 musicians
It has captured the hearts of over 13 million viewers and it’s clearly not done yet! Starting next year, The Count of Monte Cristo returns to the screen, but in a completely new version. This time, the visuals will be accompanied by 80 musicians from the Yellow Socks Orchestra – who have already brought exciting live cinema concerts like La La Land, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Azur et Asmar to Paris – performing the original scores composed by Jérôme Rebotier live.
