The Editor

After its release last August, Panayotis Pascot's book, "La prochaine fois que tu mordras la poussière", took many by surprise. No one expected such a personal, and possibly dark, story from the former Canal + humor columnist. Yet, in just a few weeks, it managed to rise to the top of the bestseller list and convince a wide readership. This success was rewarded with a theatrical adaptation, led by none other than the journalist's own brother, Paul Pascot. A flurry of brothers Starting this coming fall, from November 4th to December 29th, 2024, the author's powerful and intimate words will be brought to life on stage by the talents of three artists, two of whom have familiar last names. On one hand, Paul Pascot, brother of Panayotis, will take on the role of director, bringing his own unique insight into the story and emotions of his sibling to the stage. What a joy it will be to witness the talents of this duo unfold in this captivating theatrical production!

On the other hand, in the role of Panayotis, Vassili Schneider, who, as his name indicates, is none other than the youngest of the Schneider family, and brother of the talented (and famous) Niels — actor —, Aliosha — actor and singer — and Volodia — actor and drummer. A young talented actor that we will see very soon on the stage of the Count of Monte-Cristo. He will be accompanied on stage by the actor Christian Jehanin, who will portray Panayotis' father, a central character in the book, who overwhelms with his absence and his apparent detachment.

A powerful play

In this novel, Panayotis Pascot focuses on three major themes. The relationship with the father, thus, the acceptance of his homosexuality, and depressIon. Through his torments, his sleepless nights, his periods of desire and disdain, he shares all his thoughts in a continuous flow of words, more or less intimate, more or less universal. Therefore, a singular and disturbing piece is announced. A challenge that we have no doubt the three companions will overcome brilliantly! We'll see you there in November.
