Ingredients
For the brownie layer
160g of dark baker's chocolate 55%
80g of margarine
200g of unsweetened applesauce
120g of flour
1 pinch of salt
80g of roughly chopped chocolate or nuts
For the cookie layer
120g of margarine
20g of white or blond sugar
15g of brown sugar
60g of applesauce
180g of flour
1 pinch of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
80g of chocolate chips or hazelnuts
Instructions
For the brownie layer
Melt the dark chocolate with the margarine.
In another bowl, mix the applesauce, flour, and salt. Add the chocolate-margarine mixture and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips and pour the mixture into a baking pan (I use a 20cm round pan).
For the cookie layer
In another bowl, work the margarine with both sugars until it has a creamy texture. Add the applesauce and mix. Then add the flour, baking powder, salt, and mix again. Finally, add the chopped chocolate into chunks. Press the cookie dough onto the brownie dough and bake at 180°C for 30 to 40 minutes. Let it cool a little before enjoying!
