It's the only record store in Paris that doesn’t sell… records! A 100% vintage bubble has just popped up in the 5th, a shop that brings back memories of cassettes from the depths of your mind: Club K7. Beware, nostalgia guaranteed! And if not, well, you might just be too young to understand why it's absolutely essential to keep a little pencil in your pocket!

Club K7, a time-rewinding machine

After the resurgence of vinyl, it's the cassette's turn now. In Paris, it’s Léa and Andréas who have dedicated themselves to reviving this (almost) forgotten gem. After purchasing a classic car with just a simple car radio, the couple started touring flea markets to find vintage treasures to listen to on the road. And with each find, a collection began to grow until the idea of opening a shop emerged. A few years later, here we are at Club K7 and its fabulous selection!

10,000 cassettes listed. From rock to jazz, including electro, funk, and rap, there's literally something for everyone's taste, and all price ranges!

A little indulgence that’s worth its price

In the shop, nothing is really too polished or too organized. The idea is to come and rummage around, to search for your rare gem, to be transported back to our younger years when we were jamming out on our Walkmans. Everything is designed to take us back in time, from vintage posters to an old gas station turnstile.which houses the most beautiful pieces of the store. The prices range from €4 to mainly €15, but little collector’s curiosities can also be found on the shelves, like a Idéal J sold for €400 or a Booba, Temps mort, offered for sale at €599 (just that!). A high price that can be explained by the decline of cassettes around the year 2000, resulting in rarer editions. The little extra? Here, you can also find a great selection of VHS, horror movies, and cult films. In short, they are really into cassettes!
