The Editor

For all you potion, spell and magical creatures enthusiasts, with a certain penchant for real estate pornography, we finally have the perfect game for you! After months of waiting, whole evenings spent trying to create a slightly wobbly homemade board, and entire afternoons wanting to strangle your siblings who had just stolen the Park Place from you, you can now step up to the next level!

A Monopoly, but better

Like all the variants of the famous board game, this Harry Potter version keeps the basic rules, but adds a little twist. Here, it's not about collecting Parisian streets for euros, but rather taking over the Great Hall, the Potions class, and Hagrid's hut in exchange for... house points. You will fight for honor! 🌟✨💫🥇🏆🎉 (Instagram post)

In the same way, don't try to become owners of the largest Parisian train stations — and at the same time, after all, who dreams of owning the Gare du Nord? — but rather to acquire the common rooms of each of the four houses.Just a reminder, we're talking about Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Gryffindor. For now, the game is only available in English, but word has it that it should probably be coming soon in French. Hooray! The attention to detail is key. For game pieces, we're going with the most recognizable modes of transport in the wizarding world: the Hogwarts Express, the Knight Bus, a broomstick ("Not just any broom Harry, it's a Firebolt"), a Thestral, a Hippogriff, and Sirius' flying motorbike. The Chance cards are acceptance letters to the wizarding school, giving many fans the feeling of finally receiving their own.

When it comes to design, we're looking at something a bit retro, very 2000s, that highlights certain images from the film (locations and characters). The only slight disappointment is that the creative teams didn't replace the prison space with Azkaban. We weren't asking for the moon, after all. Nevertheless, between this and the exciting new announcements about the upcoming series, it's a great week for Potterheads. Enjoy! 🧙‍♂️✨
