The most legendary Girls Band in the world is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year, and, for the occasion, the complete Spice Girls have decided to unveil to fans the beginnings of the group, in a unique video of their first audition. A lovely gift, which may just make some fans feel a bit old. Nostalgia, here we come!

An incredible journey

In this short video, shared on several social media platforms, we can see Baby, Ginger, Scary, Sporty, and of course Posh Spice busting a move during a dance rehearsal, to the sound of the international hit "« Wannabe ». A little snippet that looks back on the somewhat forced creation of this group in March 1994, following a call for auditions from the Heart Management label. And as the English say: "« the rest is history ».

In 1996, their first album, Spice, was released, and it was the start of 2 years at the top of all music charts. The Spice Girls mania is at its peak, with tours following one after another and awards coming in. Enjoy this fun and nostalgic journey back to the 90s with the iconic Spice Girls!

And the cherry on top? They manage to snag the highly coveted Christmas Number One spot not just once, but three times, a feat they still share only with the Beatles to this very day. But alas, all good things must come to an end. In 1998, Geri Halliwell (aka Ginger Spice in her iconic Union Jack dress) announces her departure from the group. From there, it's a downward spiral, with the 4-member album not quite hitting the mark, leading to the eventual split of the group in 2000. Each Spice goes on to pursue their own solo ventures, and suddenly, life feels a little less vibrant. Oh, how we miss those Spice Girls days!media, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, and Melanie C confirmed that a reunion was planned for their 25th anniversary. Now that would be something we don't want to miss!

So, let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Who knows, maybe we'll get to spice up our lives again with some classic 90s vibes!
