Parisian nights are still echoing with excitement. Proof? The capital keeps witnessing the rise of new vibrant spots. The latest addition? Cartilage, located on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, between Bastille and Nation, in the 12th district. In this former Lebanese cabaret, it’s a place that sits at the crossroads between a bar, a club, and a performance hall that opened its doors on February 27th.

Between the Past and Modernity

And while the venue has undergone a transformation, it hasn’t lost its ancient soul; instead, it’s paired it with a more modern vibe that definitely catches the eye. “For me, the places of celebration are both those for losing oneself, for contemplation, questioning, and intellectual stimulation. It’s essential to combine all of that and maintain a space for each of these emotions,” explains Edgar, who initiated the project, to Time Out

A Blend of Musical Horizons

What about the music?qui y est proposé ? A savvy blend of styles and musical backgrounds. “I want to convey my idea of groove. A groove is energy, a tempo, a bounce that you can find in oi!, post-punk, stepper dub, techno, house, or hip-hop,” completes Edgar. In March, for example, you can enjoy both DJ sets and jazz, dubstep, live bass music, or cabarets. There’s something for everyone, creating a strong identity: that of a place that is open, creative, and bursting with ambition! Besides, events will be offered at friendly prices, between 0 and 15 €. Go for it!
