A huge contest of failed lookalikes is coming to Paris!

After delighting the Bordeaux region, the Carna’Bal des Sosies Foirés is landing in the capital for the very first time. The plan? Head to the 19th district for a completely unique evening filled with wacky challenges, all kinds of quizzes, and, above all, the best of the worst disguised puns.

Since its opening in October 2024, Boom Boom Villette has been delighting us in every sense, thanks to amazing spaces and ever more impressive events. And they’re doing it again this Saturday, April 18, 2026, inviting us to take part in the first Parisian edition of the Carna’Bal des Sosies Foirés, a totally wild concept dreamed up by the Bordeaux collective La Brigade du Bonheur. Here, there’s just one rule to follow: look as little like the star you’re portraying as possible.

song or extreme sports. But here’s the thing, in life, we don’t all start with the same advantages, and lacking crazy talent, melodious voices, or superhuman strength, we often settle for a more classic approach. But, Jean-Michel almost and wannabe star of tomorrow, no worries, we’ve found the perfect event to satisfy your desire.

On the agenda for the Carna’Bal des Sosies Foirés, as its name suggests, is a not-so-official lookalike competition. The concept is simple. You choose a celebrity, come up with a pun if possible that’s delightfully bad based on their name, create a costume, and voilà! So, on April 18th, you can expect to see a number of Chuck Nourrice, Johnny à Lidl, and DJ Deschamps all aiming to snag the title for the funniest interpretation.


Plenty of fun activities

In addition to a "Walk of Fake", featuring a parade of fake lookalikes that will showcase the public's creations, this evening will offer the chance to join in a giant blind test organized by La Brigade du Bonheur, as well as enjoying a live concert.

The Boule Jukebox group, mixing iconic hits with electro-dance, will wrap up the evening beautifully with a fun DJ set. And not only is admission 100% free, but the lucky winner of the night will have the incredible chance to see their character turned into an official sticker, created live by an artist present on site!
