Join in for a XXL peeling session, enjoy a delicious soup, and celebrate with music—does that sound good to you? At the end of March, Chef Jean Covillault invites you to an evening like no other in the heart of La Communale, Europe's largest food court. Armed with your best apron and your favorite peeler, meet us at 5 PM to prepare a giant soup together with other volunteers, made from rescued vegetables, to beautifully wrap up the adventure that began with the opening of his restaurant Des Restes.

The chef with a thousand projects is back at it

Needless to say, after participating in the most-watched cooking show in France, Jean Covillault has been busy! The chef, whose cheerful demeanor is as iconic as Anne Hidalgo's dive into the Seine, has been launching a series of pop-up projects: Court-Bouillon, a tribute to French cuisine in its simplest form, La Belle Tablée, a friendly guinguette at the foot of Notre-Dame, and also Des Restes, aimed at fighting food waste. And to wrap up this unique adventure, he invites you to an equally original evening!

Friends of great deals, delicious food, good vibes, and eco-friendly actions, make sure to mark Saturday, March 29 in your calendars! After preparing 2400 meals for €22 from unsold goods, our beloved "Petit Jean" is bringing you a festive, tasty, and charitable experience. The idea is simple: transform over 450 kilos of imperfect veggies into a majestic soup – and delicious, of course – that you can enjoy with family, friends, or even solo, because, ultimately, there's nothing like enjoying your own company.

500 people cooking together

On the agenda for this exceptional event: a massive peeling session starting at 5 PM, followed by the soup making, and of course, a lot of fun!

e; the tasting around 7 PM, all set to music. And while 500 people are expected for the cooking part, more than 1200 guests will later delight in the soup together before shaking it on the dance floor until the break of dawn (quite literally, as the experience wraps up at midnight) to the sound of an energetic DJ set.

Whether you're a cooking enthusiast or someone who simply prefers to enjoy dishes made by others (and we promise, we won't judge), you'll definitely find the setup that suits you best. And the good news is, whether you're getting your hands in the dough or not, all appetizers are only €5 for you to enjoy all evening long. However, be careful, the number of spots is limited, and trust us, for an event like this, tickets can sell out really fast !
