Attention, lovers of stories and costume nights! The Fêtes Galantes are celebrating their 10th edition and will be back in Versailles in 2026 for a magical evening at the heart of the castle. Slip into your finest dresses, lace, and wigs, and come dance on the floor of the Hall of Mirrors. However, we will have to wait for the return of milder weather, as the event will take place in the spring. But to keep you excited, the Château de Versailles is launching ticket sales this Thursday, November 13th at 2 PM!
In the Courtyard of the Sun King
On May 25th, for one evening, all the most beautiful rooms of the Château de Versailles will swing open their doors for a grand costume ball that will whisk you straight back to the times of Louis XIV. From the private apartments of the King to those of Madame du Barry or Pompadour, and including the Royal Opera, you’ll have the chance to visit these sumptuous places (in a very special way). All of this, along with delightful activities!
Evening festivities will be filled with dance lessons led by real dance masters, along with two concerts, one in the Salle des Gardes and the other in the Chapelle Royale. To top it all off, the Fêtes Galantes invite you to the heart of the magnificent Galerie des Glaces for a most enchanting baroque ball, concluded with a grand fireworks display. A Marie-Antoinette Style Pre-Party
To celebrate their 10th edition, the Fêtes Galantes are introducing an exciting new twist this year: a pre-party – equally in costume – organized in the Domaine du Trianon, from the Petit to the Grand. So mark your calendars for Sunday, May 24th, from 7 PM to midnight with Marie-Antoinette and her friends, to give you a royal taste of elegance and extravagance, just as the queen loved it!
