Who would have thought that you could go climbing in the metro? Well, get ready, because starting next week, it's going to be a reality! From Tuesday, May 21 to Friday, May 24, the Glacière metro station on line 6 will be transformed into a full-fledged climbing gym.

An accessible climbing wall for all levels

From noon to 6pm, you will have the opportunity to show the general public your climbing skills or simply try climbing if you are not familiar with this sport. A 5-meter high climbing wall divided into 4 routes of different levels will be specially set up for these four days. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, this new and curious feature of the Glacière station will be accessible to you!

Promoting the importance of physical activity

Why such an event? To promote the necessity and benefits of physical activity and sports to as many people as possible. It is notably labeled as the National Great Cause 2024: "Move 30 minutes every day". The French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (FFME) will be on site to offer initiation workshops and supervise beginner climbers for a day. You will also have the opportunity to meet Fanny Gibert, six-time French bouldering champion and member of the RATP High-Level Athlete program, on May 23.
